About Me

I’m a biracial cisgender woman, born and raised in Florida. As a neurodivergent individual, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate the complexities of life, especially when it comes to things like overstimulation, ADHD paralysis, or Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria. I know first-hand how important it is to understand how your brain works and to give yourself permission to embrace who you are. There’s no shame in being yourself, and in sessions with me, we’ll focus on self-acceptance and how to break apart the negative self-talk that can hold you back.

As an LGBTQIA+ ally, I deeply value creating a safe and inclusive space for individuals and partnerships from all backgrounds, and I’m passionate about working with those who society may not always make feel welcomed or embraced. I believe everyone deserves a place where they can be seen, heard, and understood.

My Background

With a background in education and clinical mental health counseling, I bring both a passion for learning and a practical approach to counseling. My bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Tampa and my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Troy University have shaped my understanding of human development, emotions, and relationships. I love providing clients with tools and resources that help them on their journey, just as I did as an educator. I believe that counseling can be transformative when we work together to build healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and connecting.

My Approach to Counseling

In sessions with me, the focus is on creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. I believe in the power of self-acceptance—understanding that who you are, including your challenges and strengths, is valuable and worthy of respect. Mental Health Counseling is about embracing yourself fully, without shame, and learning how to build healthier relationships with both yourself and others.

I take a holistic approach that acknowledges the complexities of life, especially for neurodivergent individuals or those who’ve been marginalized by society. Together, we’ll work on understanding your emotions, exploring the ways your mind works, and developing practical tools that fit your unique needs. My goal is to empower you to face life's challenges with confidence, resilience, and authenticity.

A Little About Me

Beyond my professional life, I’m just like you—a person with passions, hobbies, and a love for connection. I live in Parrish, Florida, with my husband and our three rescue cats, who keep life interesting and full of love. I’m an avid reader with a home library that I cherish, and I also enjoy crocheting, which brings me a sense of peace and creativity. Traveling and exploring new cultures is another passion of mine, as I believe that learning from others enriches both my personal and professional life.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I truly believe that the path to healing is a collaborative journey, and I’m here to walk with you every step of the way. Whether you’re looking for support in understanding yourself, your relationships, or your next steps forward, I’m here to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where we can work together at your pace. I can’t wait to meet you and help you create the life you deserve.

Warmly,
Brianna
